CIMIC Group’s EIC Activities and CPB Contractors were honoured to host a meeting with members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) Geotechnical Division who recently paid a visit to our North Sydney offices.
The delegates heard from several CIMIC speakers, including Pedro Vicente, CIMIC Group's Chief Executive Officer, Geoff Sewell EIC Activities’ Managing Director and Glyn Edwards CPB Contractors’ General Manager Tunnelling and Major Projects.
Geotechnical and project delivery issues were discussed, and valuable insights were shared about some of the engineering challenges we both face.
The delegation then went on guided site visits to a number of CIMIC Group project sites including the Warringah Freeway Upgrade project, Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport – Station Boxes & Tunnelling Project and the Rozelle Interchange.
The delegation had a firsthand view on how we are delivering these major infrastructure projects, connecting communities to improved, sustainable transport, while providing a significant skills legacy.
