CIMIC Group’s Virtual Builder is an industry first.
Our proprietary solution, developed in-house by EIC Activities, supported by CPB Contractors, is like a flight simulator for construction.
Virtual Builder integrates data from design, planning, and construction, combining BIM, GIS, and Program information into a common environment, and leverages real-time 3D technology.
The virtual 3D environment replicates the construction site and provides an immersive representation of the real-world state of a project.
Using Virtual Builder, our teams can run simulations, and test methodologies and options at every work phase to determine the best solutions. Its use improves safety and efficiency and reduces rework and wastage.

Under the bonnet
Virtual Builder integrates multiple AEC cloud-based technologies such as, software developer Esri’s, ArcGIS Maps SDK for Unity. This enables Virtual Builder to leverage the interactive benefits of a gaming environment, using real-world location data.
