EIC Activities Senior Planner, Fiona Becchio is committed to creating value through planning. In her role, Fiona helps delivery teams, on sites across CIMIC Group, to use planning as a tool to drive project success.
Fiona has worked as part of CIMIC Group for the past five years.
“I love seeing delivery teams get real value out of their programmes. I believe now there is so much in the way of innovation and technology that provides us with the tools to bring the programmes to life,” said Fiona.
Calculating completion in Christchurch
Fiona recently worked with CIMIC Group’s construction business, CPB Contractors, assisting the Christchurch Convention Centre project team to build an integrated design, procurement and delivery plan.
“I was able to work with all the different parts of the project team, by visiting the site and by working digitally across different time zones and thousands of miles away from Perth.”
“Good planners try and get an understanding of the challenges faced by all parts of the team, so they can help create an integrated roadmap for project success that speaks to all parts of the organisation, from tendering through to final testing and commissioning.”
Working with the EIC Activities team
Fiona joined the EIC Activities team in late 2018 after working for Broad, a subsidiary of CPB Contractors, since 2014.
“I had the opportunity to collaborate with EIC Activities during my time at Broad Construction, through this I developed a great amount of respect for the team and what they were achieving. I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of it,” said Fiona.
"I’m extremely proud to be part of supporting project teams – from tender through to delivery."
Fiona currently embraces flexible working arrangements, which help her balance family, travel and her role.
